“The God of Heaven will make
us prosper and we, His servants,
will arise and build.”
Nehemiah 2:20
ARISE AND BUILD
What is the Arise and
Build campaign?
The Arise and Build campaign is
the name of the building project
for Cora’s Grove Church and
Penderlea Christian Academy’s
future facility. Many people are
joining hearts to Build God’s
Kingdom Together as we offer
back what already belongs to
God! Will you join us?
Our Vision and Goals
Our vision for Cora’s Grove Church
and Penderlea Christian Academy
is to build a loving, welcoming
space that leads to spiritual
growth, builds enduring
relationships, and serves as a
lighthouse in Pender County to
show God’s love while expanding
His Kingdom.
In the next three years or less, we
aim to raise 3 million dollars to pay
for our new building. With your help
and God’s provision, we are
confident that we will meet this
goal.
CGC
Cora’s Grove Church has enjoyed a long
legacy of loving and serving this community.
It is our great joy to have filled our building
consistently six days a week, and often every
day of the week as we serve our community.
Our desire is to prepare the way of the Lord,
and we are doing that by ministering to
families in Pender County. Although PCA is a larger part of CGC, it is not the only reason we need to “enlarge our tents” (Isaiah 54:2)… Our children’s and youth ministries are on FIRE for the Lord and are growing and Sunday mornings are almost at capacity. We desire to foster a place where families can encounter God and do LIFE together. We are honored that the
Lord has brought us to a place of overflow...
and we need more space! Our Arise and Build
campaign will help us respond to this need
that will allow us to continue to prepare
future generations for the building of God’s
kingdom.
PCA
Seven years ago marked the inception of
Penderlea Christian Academy, a vision ignited
by the Holy Spirit to provide an alternative to
public education in our rural community.
Being the sole private school in our vicinity,
we have flourished remarkably, witnessing
a staggering growth from seventeen students
to nearly one hundred fifty over the past
six years. At PCA, our commitment is to place
God at the forefront of all our endeavors,
including all things academic. PCA takes a
great amount of care in the education of
every student, prioritizing an individualized
teaching approach, allowing students to learn
at their own pace. It is for these reasons that
the school has reached its full capacity and is
in need of a larger space. With this space, PCA
can continue to reach the hearts of children
for God and the upbuilding of His kingdom.
Ways to Contribute
If you are a member or regular attendee or want to set up recurring donations, we ask that you use the “Member Giving” button for your donations. We also have other giving platforms setup that may be more convenient through PayPal, Venmo & CashApp.
We also have an artist in our congregation that wanted to contribute through their art so they have setup a website where all proceeds of their art sales go directly to the building fund. The site is frequently updated with new artwork. If you are an artist and would like to join efforts, please send an email to Mitchell Henderson at hislead@gmail.com
Architectural Drawings
The building will add 15 additional class/ministry rooms. There will be ample bathrooms on both floors as well as an elevator to make the facility fully handicap accessible. The Gymnatorium will have a stage and side rooms so the space can be used for many ministry and school purposes.
