THE REFUGE High School Youth Ministry

Our goal is to instill the word of God into each of them. We use scripture to pick each of them up, while talking about the struggles they have in this world we live in. Our trademark is our “Oak Tree”. This symbolizes when one in our group is down or having a hard time our strength together and deep roots in Christ gets us through the hard times.

The MESSENGERS Youth Praise Team

Hearing the youth sing for the Lord is such a blessing. The youth have such a heart for the Lord and it shines forth in all that they do. They are always eager to welcome any newcomers. We love all, as Christ loves us!

High school sweethearts John & Jennie Coleman lead the high school youth and the youth praise team. They have been married for over 25 years, and have 3 wonderful but very different adult children. They are a safe place for these teens to be themselves and are always pointed towards Jesus.

MOUNTAIN MOVERS Middle School Youth Ministry

Middle school is a really difficult time in our children’s life. Kids are transitioning from being a child to teenhood. A time when they are finding out who they are and who their true friends are. Sometimes this season can be really eye opening and not pretty. At Cora’s Grove, we thrive to build authentic relationships among our young people and encourage them to ask themselves the age old questions; “What would Jesus do?” when responding to situations.

Kayla Fulghum and her father Mark Heflin lead the middle school youth. Kayla is a loving wife and mother of four active children. She loves the Lord and believes that honesty is top priority when ministering to our youth.
